Ingredients
Let’s make it
- Put 200 g berries, sugar, and water in a small saucepan. Simmer for 5–7 minutes until saucy; keep warm.
- Whisk eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon in a shallow dish. Dip bread slices for about 15 seconds per side so they absorb custard without falling apart.
- Melt a little butter in a nonstick skillet over medium-low heat. Cook bread in batches for 3–4 minutes per side until golden and the egg-soaked center reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Use remaining butter for subsequent batches. Cut large slices if desired.
- Spoon over berry sauce and remaining fresh berries; finish with powdered sugar and almonds.
