Ingredients

Volumes are approximate. For baking, use a scale; Metric keeps the specified gram weights.

Let’s make it

  1. Heat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment. Mix flour, oats, baking powder, sesame and salt. Rub the cold butter into the mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs with a few pea-sized pieces.
  2. Pour in the milk and fold just until no dry flour remains. Rest for 5 minutes so the oats begin to hydrate. The dough should be sticky and scoopable; do not knead or add bench flour.
  3. Divide all the dough into eight equal rough mounds on the tray, about 2 inches (5 cm) apart. Bake for 17-21 minutes until golden on top, browned underneath and set rather than pasty in the center. Cool on a rack for 10 minutes. Serve one per portion; butter or other accompaniments are not included. Store fully cooled biscuits airtight for 1 day or freeze. Reheat briefly in a moderate oven.

Calculation notes & sources

ESTIMATED per serving. Brand, crop, preparation, draining, pan residue and substitutions change actual nutrition. Not laboratory analysis. Raw or dry food profiles match pre-cooking edible masses. All listed oil and retained cooking liquid are counted. Cooking moisture changes do not change the stated portion count. No generic nutrient-retention factor is invented. Calories are kcal; protein, total carbohydrate, fat and total sugar are grams. Total carbohydrate includes fiber and is not net carbohydrate. Fiber and sodium are not displayed. Equal portions define yield; counted biscuits, eggplant rolls, loaf slices and custard cups are explicitly divided. US/Metric display changes do not change these canonical inputs. Primary-source supplements are retained per ingredient where USDA lacks a field; missing values are never silently changed to zero.
