Ingredients

Let’s make it

  1. Mix flour, yeast, granulated sugar, and salt. Add warm milk, egg, and melted butter. Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth; the dough should be soft but workable.
  2. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 60 minutes or until doubled. Timing depends on room temperature.
  3. Roll into a 30-by 40 cm rectangle. Spread with softened butter and sprinkle with brown sugar mixed with cinnamon. Roll from the long edge and cut into 12 even pieces.
  4. Arrange in a greased 9-by 13-inch baking dish. Cover and rise for 30 minutes while heating oven to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Bake for 22–28 minutes until golden and the centers are baked through. Cool for 15 minutes.
  6. Whisk powdered sugar, vanilla, and enough icing milk for a thick drizzle. Spread over the warm rolls. Total time is approximate and includes rising.
