Ingredients

Let’s make it

  1. Whisk soy sauce, water, cornstarch, and sugar in a bowl.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet. Add broccoli and 2 tbsp water, cover, and steam for 3–4 minutes. Transfer to a bowl.
  3. Heat remaining oil over medium-high heat. Add beef in batches and cook, turning, until it reaches 145°F (63°C); let it rest for at least 3 minutes.
  4. Reduce heat, add ginger and garlic, and stir for 30 seconds. Rewhisk and pour in the sauce; simmer for 1–2 minutes until thickened.
  5. Return broccoli and beef, toss briefly, and serve over rice. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and scallions.
